Short answer: Yes, you can sell in the US from Pakistan. Amazon accepts sellers registered in Pakistan. Many founders also form a US LLC so that their EIN, bank account and seller profile all sit under one US business. Walmart Marketplace is different. As of October 2026, Pakistan is not on its list of eligible countries, so the usual route there is a US-registered business that meets every US requirement. Temu's US local seller program is also built around US businesses with US fulfillment. For most founders the sequence is the same: choose the entity, get the tax IDs, become ready for banking and payouts, then register on each marketplace with documents that match exactly. This hub puts ECOMHUTSY's guides in that order. We are headquartered in Multan, with offices in Dubai and Westland, MI, and have worked with e-commerce founders since 2016. Each marketplace makes its own approval decisions, and no provider can guarantee approval.

Choosing your route: Pakistani registration or a US LLC

You can register on Amazon with your Pakistani identity or business, or through a US LLC that you own from Pakistan. Neither route is automatically better. The right one depends on how you plan to bank, which suppliers and payment providers you need, and whether you also want Walmart or Temu, which generally require a US entity. If you choose the LLC route, you can form it without travelling to the US. Plan the yearly state and IRS filings before you make your first sale.

EIN, ITIN and the documents Amazon checks

A foreign owner without an SSN or ITIN can get an EIN from the IRS by phone, fax or mail using Form SS-4, and the IRS charges no fee for it. An ITIN is a separate number. You need one only if you personally have a US federal tax purpose, so most founders do not need it on day one. Verification is where Pakistan-based applications most often slow down. The name and address on your CNIC or passport, bank statement, EIN letter and registration must match exactly, down to abbreviations.

Walmart Marketplace from Pakistan

As of October 2026, a business incorporated in Pakistan cannot apply to Walmart Marketplace directly. A US-registered business owned from Pakistan can apply as a US seller. Walmart's published requirements include a US business tax ID, verification documents, a US return address that is not a P.O. box, a GTIN-ready catalog, a fulfillment plan and a history of e-commerce selling. Once approved, Walmart's shipping and fulfillment policy decides how dropshipping and arbitrage can work.

Temu's US local seller program

Temu now lets US businesses register directly and sell from inventory held in the US. Expect to provide a tax ID such as an EIN, a government-issued ID, proof of address and bank details in the seller's legal name. You will also need a warehouse or 3PL that can ship orders and upload tracking quickly. For a founder in Pakistan, that usually means the US entity and the US fulfillment come first.

Getting paid: payouts and bank readiness

Marketplace payouts must go to an account in the seller's exact legal name. Which payout routes are available depends on where you and your business are registered, so check Seller Central's current list rather than relying on forum advice. Before you apply to a US bank, have your formation documents, your EIN letter, an operating agreement and your passport ready. Banks set their own rules for non-resident owners, and opening an account is never guaranteed.

Common questions

Can I sell on Amazon from Pakistan without a US LLC?+

Yes. Amazon accepts sellers registered in Pakistan. A US LLC is an optional choice that some founders make for US banking, suppliers, payment providers or other marketplaces. Decide it with an adviser rather than by default.

Can I sell on Walmart from Pakistan?+

Not with a business incorporated in Pakistan, as of October 2026. A US-registered business owned from Pakistan can apply as a US seller if it meets every US requirement. Walmart decides each application, so check its eligible-country list again before you apply.

Do I need an ITIN to get an EIN?+

No. A foreign owner without an SSN or ITIN can apply for an EIN by phone, fax or mail using Form SS-4. You need an ITIN only if you personally have a US federal tax purpose, such as filing a US return.

How do Pakistan-based sellers receive marketplace payouts?+

Payouts go to a method the marketplace supports for your account and country. Depending on your setup, that might be a bank account in a supported country, a US bank account in your LLC's name, or an accepted payment service. Always confirm the current options in Seller Central.
